Crisis Comms Resources

This week has been one of the most intense professional experiences I have ever had.

Going from zero to 60 and then shifting to 90 approaching 100, has been exciting and enhausting.

I feel fortunate to have enough life experience under my belt to stay calm and collected (for the most part) and take the lead in crisis communications for my organization.

But I know that there are lots of folks out there who may need some help in navigating the challenges of crisis communications for their organizations. so here are some ideas and resources.

1. Breathe- You got this. It might feel like the world is ending, and obviously it will be drastically different, but we are all in this together.

2. Think- What do you need to communicate and to whom? Every audience and every stakeholder both internal and external will need a targetted message. What do you need them to know?

3. Deliver- Not communicating is not an option. Determine which channels will best reach you audiences (e-mail, social, website, phone calls, video chat) and get your message out there.
